Local small businesses hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply to sell their products at London Drugs stores.

The pharmacy was deemed essential and wanted to do something to help struggling small businesses that had to shut their doors.

“So the plan is to convert some of our centre aisles in our stores to accomodate the product to help small businesses survive the crisis,” explained Andy McDonald, store manager for Lawson Heights London Drugs in Saskatoon. “London Drugs is offering some shelf space in select stores to local businesses who have had to close their doors due to COVID-19.”

Some local items we might soon see on shelves include soaps, compostable garbage bags, and organic chocolates.

‘We know so many small businesses in Western Canada are suffering, and we find this is a way we can help them stay in businesses while their doors are closed,” he said. “We find it’s the best way we can help.”
