Queen: It’s a Kinda Magic recreates Queen’s 1986 World Tour concert, featuring over 20 of the band’s greatest hits such as ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘We Are the Champions’, ‘Under Pressure’ and ‘Fat-Bottomed Girls’. Painstaking attention has been paid to all the music – the iconic voice of Mercury, the amazing guitar solos of May and the groundbreaking Rock harmonies. And with state-of-the-art sound and lighting and authentic costumes, this is as close as you’ll ever get to the real thing!  

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast running May 24 to 26 at Darke Hall.  This enchanted musical features a cast of over 40 local performers directed by Jill Weins with musical direction by Katlyn Redding and choreography by Claire Castle and Breeann De Haven. The Community Food Hub is a 5 million dollar campaign that will increase the Regina Food Bank’s ability to feed more people. The Hub will be the first food bank in Canada that looks like a grocery store, but the food is still free. With your help, people can choose their own food for the first time in 40 years. The Jeff Yanko ’88 Memorial Golf Tournament is the major fundraising event for the Jeff Yanko Memorial Scholarship at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame and features 14 Hole in One insured holes valued over $400,000 in prizes monies to be won. All proceeds from the Golf Tournament go toward supporting solo parents who require financial assistance for their child to attend the College with the goal of achieving excellence in education through mind, body and spirit. Jeff graduated from Notre Dame with the class of 1988. Jeff loved the College and all it stands for. Jeff’s wife, Kathie continues to work for the College and they are the proud parents of three Hounds – Jamie ’14, Bryn ’16, and Evyn ’26. Jeff supported Notre Dame as a proud alumnus, parent, resident of Wilcox, and as the Director of Development. Jeff loved to golf and landed a Hole in One at the Alumni Golf Tournament on the May long weekend in 2008.

Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is Canada’s largest community event for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. A fun, family-friendly day, Gutsy Walk brings communities together to make a meaningful impact for everyone affected by Crohn’s and colitis. The walk raises awareness of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis while raising funds for Crohn’s and ColitisCanada’s research and patient programs. 10:00am registration, walk is at 11:00am
